Most Americans are planning to travel the same amount – if not more – in 2024, with nearly half of all survey respondents saying they’ll spend “a minimum of $4,000 on travel throughout the year.”

- While 72% of respondents will spend at least $2,000 on travel this year, about half said that number will actually be north of $4,000.
- Millennials and Gen Zers are the most likely to spend more on travel, significantly outpacing their Gen X and Boomer counterparts.
- People are split on how they’re planning to adjust their travel budgets in 2024, with 39% planning to increase their travel spending, 35% keeping it relatively the same, and the rest lowering their vacation costs.
