As a career-changer to financial planning after a career in non-profits, I’m bringing my passion for helping people from non-profit back-offices to more directly helping others here with Clarity Wealth Development. I try to help you find security in your numbers and a path forward by balancing what is numbers-optimal with what is optimal for your life, giving a simple and efficient plan forward so you can focus on what is most important to you!
After graduating from Loyola University of Chicago, I began working in non-profits doing database management. Like many of my peers, I was underprepared for dealing with finances as a young professional. While searching for answers to my many financial questions I found a passion for personal finance. Once I found myself researching personal finance for fun, I thought that financial planning just might be the career for me. I’m proud to find a home at Clarity Wealth Development, where what is best for you is our guiding star.
As a proud nerd with a fair collection of board games, I always have loved finding what move is most efficient. Funnily enough there is a good bit of crossover between board games and financial planning. In both cases you’re dealing with a set of resources to accomplish a certain goal, though unlike many competitive board games, we collaborate together to use your resources of time, talent, and treasures to accomplish your goals.
On the weekends, I enjoy taking walks and playing board games with my wife as well as spending time with our infant son. We are his personal comedians, and we take that role very seriously! You can bet that we’ll introduce him to board games as soon as possible!
While I am a Chicago native, I’ve lived in the Midwest, New England, DC, and now Oregon. I have to say, Oregon is the most beautiful state I’ve lived in. My wife and I enjoy walking a beautiful trail with our son and appreciating the views that Oregon has to offer!
I look forward to getting to know you and sitting at the table together to find a plan that works best for your goals.
